DIY Stove Top Cleaners

Your stove top can become a sticky, burnt disaster if you don’t keep charred build-up in check. Here are some essential stove top cleaning solutions.

Option one
1 tbsp. baking soda
1 tsp. liquid dishwashing soap
Combine to create an abrasive liquid cleaner with odour elimination power. Apply with steel wool or similar for best results.
Option two
1 tbsp. salt
1 tbsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. water
Mix to a paste, apply with a cloth for a stove top that shine.
For a glass stove top:
Apply baking soda to any scorch marks
Spray with Option two multi-purpose cleaner 
Leave for 30 minutes
Scrub with a microfiber cloth until all grime has wiped away
Use a separate cloth and give the surface a final polish with Option two multi-purpose cleaner
Liquid cream cleanser
This combination cuts through grease and grime while killing germs and deodorising.
You’ll need:
½ cup liquid castile soap
¾ cup baking soda
1 tbsp. liquid glycerin (buy from health food store or pharmacy)
10 drops lavender essential oil
10 drops tea tree essential oil
Squeeze bottle
Bowl
1. Place baking soda in bowl, ensuring it is pressed to a fine consistency, with no lumps
2. Add castile soap
3. Stir in liquid glycerin
4. Add essential oils
5. Blend well
6. Decant into a squeeze bottle
7. Store in a cool, dark place ensuring the lid is sealed to prevent drying
8. Use as you would a regular cream cleanser: apply, scrub, rinse off
