PUBLIC APOLOGY
BDL acknowledges and accepts the Court’s findings that it breached the Fair Trading Act during various periods from 2018 to 2023 for conduct relating to online product reviews, advertising of the Air Roaster Pro and its interactions with specific consumers regarding returns. It recognises that its conduct fell short of what is required under the Fair Trading Act and of the standards properly expected in the commercial environment in which it operates. It apologises to all those affected by its conduct. BDL has refunded affected customers where it is aware that they have been affected by BDL’s conduct and has put steps in place (through training and updated procedures) to make sure that it is compliant going forward.
